How Do You Live Your Dash

Standard

just got this poem from somewhere, and it’s in my old scrapbook as my entry on Nov 2, 2004…
“Looking at the tombstones,
Dates speak a lot
But what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
That one spent alive on earth…
What matters is how we love and live
and how we spend our “dash”…
So think about this long and hard…
Are there things you’d like to be changed
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged…
Do good things, life is short…
So when your eulogy’s being read
What life’s action to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your DASH?”

  1. me…my “DASH” will be a series of video clips (turned music videos ) of our trips together and some other stuff …I’ll try to keep doing this ’till the day my kids are ready to wring my neck ‘coz of embarassment…
..and then…when it’s finally my time to go. I’ll tell them those music video DVDs are their inheritance!!!…
..no money!!! ‘coz all money went to all those damn expensive trips!!!
