Project K for Kindness – 1

Standard

Where: Hospicio de San Jose
When: December 4, 2010

It was a great day to do good deeds! (just like everyday, but this time, it’s different!)… Project K for Kindness started early this year, and it started at Hospicio de San Jose (the oldest orphanage institution in the Phils)…this is my 11th year, but every year is different experience… this time it was soooo heart-warming, touching, joyful and emotional one! all-in-one! It’s as if these orphan kids helped US more, more than we tried cheering them. Our gifts to them is of little value than the gift they have given us—learning to feel to be more compassionate again. There was great realization about some realities of life. haaay… and while we are busy doing our everyday stuff, there are people who struggling and surviving (orphans) and sacrificing (volunteers).
There was Liezl, Edward, Hannah, Kaye and many other toddlers same age as my Aliya, all wanting to be touched and cared for… haay…. Well, I know this emotional stuff will be too “heavy” for me on this kind of places… but anyway, I will still go on on this project even it is not christmas-time.
Thank by the way to all the volunteers and sponsors! They are really so great. I named a Project K Bear for each one of them… Thank you…
