Preparing for Hong Kong 2013

Standard

Been planning for this family get-away for about two years now… Now, Aliya is ready (and excited) to take this tour. This time, it’s all of us five (and those who are willing to come with us). We’ve been saving for this and each of us has a piggy bank (and Aliya is already on her 3rd “savings”)… This is a treat for Aliya’s 5th birthday, and she is very excited that she already announced this to her classmates and cousins. 🙂 Aside from Kuya Jolo (who’ve seen HK 2 times before and is contemplating not to come with us — BUT I am insistent for Aliya’s sake and memories), we are all talking about this and counting the calendar with Aliya.

So I have to make the preparations and researching and booking.
I had actually booked our flights via Cebu Pacific 50% fare via Clark. And now, titas and cousins have signed-in to join, we are now 11 in the group.
A big splurge but we will make this happen!

Today: Play it to the Fullest

Standard

I will pause whenever I am feeling sorry for myself today,
and remember that this is the only day I have and I must play it to the fullest.
What my part may signify in the great whole,
I may not recognize,
but I am here to play it
and now is the time.

Summer Weekend at 8 Waves Waterpark

Standard

Late post: it happened May 27, 2012
Before we end the summer vacation, we have to have meaningful, fun-filled getaway together as family. Since taking the whole family to Bohol is quite to costly (i have good-for-2 free vacation to Bohol, but bringing the kids along is a big chunk in budget), so we decided to have a family overnight getaway at 8 Waves Waterpark and Resort, a nice place in Bulacan too. So we packed our bag (luggage!) and bought some food, and got a room in their hotel (thanks for the discount, we are supplying the souvenir pillows in their resort).

We had a great time together…!! The first time of us 5 (only), together in overnight trip…

Precious Moments with Aliya

Standard

While I was just seating taking a rest, thinking of my takehome work to do later…. my Aliya approached me with a little paper, she said, “look at this Mum, it says i love you!” and she kissed me… And she put her chin on her two palms while resting her elbows on my legs, waiting for me to see whats written on the paper… Oohhh… So want to capture that sweet face, that priceless scene, that charming smile… Of course the paper are just full of mild scrawl of “worms” and wavy lines… (she can’t write yet)… And of course, to her (and to me) it says… “I love you”  priceless, so rewarding… 🙂
That night we ended up sleeping late, just chatting, reading, learning new prayers and chatting…. And falling asleep content and happy!
(post note: and I just panicked when I woke up 3am realizing I haven’t done my homework!…. But also realized that I will never never exchange that night with Aliya by doing my work…… and then went back to sleep. Zzzzz)

Happy Fathers’ Day

Standard

Aliya and I made a  simple card for PaPi’s day, out from recycled cards, magazine cut-out, highlighted by their signatures and palm-print (at the back)… We made it late night and I want this as a surprise to Papi… I asked Aliya not to make noise as we went in our red (craft aka clutter) room , she actually tip-toed and talking in whisper… but when Papi peeked at the room, ALiya said “shhh…papi, secret, we are making birthday (sic. means “father day’) card for you.. 🙂 aha!

Today: Goals…

Standard

Today…
I will face the world with goals set for this day,
but they will be attainable ones,
not the vague, impossible variety declared by those who make a career of failure.
I realize that you always try me with a little, first,
to see what I would do with a lot.

About my 34th of my 101: Traveling Feet

Standard

The traveling feet update…

I have recently updated my flickr account for my “traveling feet”… I have already posted 60+ but I still have more in my photo folders waiting to be posted, I know I can reach 101 photos… and these are the good ones (for me). I actually get tempted to post more than one picture per specific place, as there are so many stories that trigger by just showing those pavements or background. I actually became innovative, and sometimes do “somersault” on the grass, sidewalk or the soil just to capture the view. I wish I could someday blog each of these feet…

Here are the samples…
